There is so much to celebrate at the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts as we enter our 5th year! We opened our doors in 2004 with 75 students and 2 classrooms and today our 200+ students enjoy a 45 seat theater and 4 studios. In celebration we start the year with the addition of 2 new studios (at the street level) to accommodate our adult daytime acting classes and expanded programming. But the real celebration is in the success of so many of our students, (adults, teens and children) who are working in television, theater and film as actors and directors. We are proud to continue working with our partners 4th Wall Theater Company and 12 Miles West; and to continue our programs with NJ Theater Alliance and Montclair State University’s BFA Film Dept. The outreach programs of NJSDA have served the Passaic School District’s After-3 program, the University Program at Cranford High School and more. It is with excitement that we look to the future with new staff members, new classes and new horizons. We hope you will join the celebration at our Murder Mystery Dinner Theater Fundraiser on October 23 at Senorita’s sponsored by our very own Alumni. Yes, there is much to celebrate as NJSDA continues to provide the highest quality theater programming available!
We Need Your Help!
The NJSDA Capitol Campaign Has Begun.
Did you
know that New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts is a not-for-profit 501(c)3
Arts Education Organization? And we are growing! An additional 1500
square feet of new studio space means that the school can offer a deeper
level of programming for our adult, teen, tween and children's programs. Daytime
classes are now being offered so that our training program can reach more
people and new initiatives for autistic members of our community are being
developed so we can provide greater outreach opportunities: The Professional
Showcase will be produced in December for the first time and the new Teen
Improv Troupe will premiere two weeks later! All of these programs fulfill
our mission to provide the highest quality programming available. But
tuition alone does not cover all the costs for teachers, materials and
rehearsal space. Please remember NJSDA when you consider your charitable
donations. Your donation will help make someone’s dream come true! For more information call (973)
566-9700.
